- Top Podcasts with Conservative or Liberal Content
The home stretch to the U.S. general election has begun, and many consumers simply can’t get enough coverage of politics. With this in mind, we decided to use Edison Podcast Metrics™ to look at the biggest podcasts that ‘talk politics’ – from each side of the political divide.
The chart below lists the podcasts with the largest average weekly audiences among those shows that engage in conservative political discussion, and those that come from a liberal point of view. (Keep in mind that this ranker is not based on the political party of the listeners, rather it’s categorized by the content of the show and ranked on the total reach).
Topping the list for conservative content are The Ben Shapiro Show, The Dan Bongino Show, and The Tucker Carlson Show. As far as those shows with liberal content, Pod Save America, The Meidas Touch Podcast, and The Young Turks take the top three spots. Many of the shows on the conservative side of the ledger feature hosts who have made their names in talk radio, television, or both. Intriguingly, in every case they revolve around a single host.
The liberal shows, by comparison, include several that have groups of hosts, including the top show Pod Save America which features a rotating cast. The podcast universe offers an abundance of content to feed every kind of political appetite.
Edison Podcast Metrics is the only podcast measurement service that covers the entire space, including all publishers and platforms. For more information about EPM, contact Edison Research at info@edisonresearch.com.
