True Crime Consumer Report to debut at Podcast Movement

Edison Research and audiochuck  explore the allure of true crime podcasts as well as the changes in the genre in a new study, the True Crime Consumer Report. The study will premiere in a keynote address on August 20, 2024 at 9am EDT at Podcast Movement in Washington, D.C.  

True crime podcasts consistently rank as some of the top podcasts in the U.S., and recent shifts in the creation of true crime podcast content have put victims’ needs at the forefront. This groundbreaking study addresses how true crime podcasts have drawn listeners to the medium and how they continue to do so while empowering victims. Edison Research’s Senior Director of Research Gabriel Soto will share never-before-seen insights and videos from true crime fans that will transform perceptions of the genre and of true crime audience growth.
