Election Recruiting Coordinator

If you have watched or read Election Night news coverage, or follow post-election analysis, chances are you have already seen the work that Edison Research does.
Since 2004, Edison Research has been the sole provider of exit poll data to the National Election Pool, conducting exit polls and collecting vote returns used to project and analyze results for every major Presidential Primary and General Election. Since 2017, we have also compiled and tabulated real-time election results across the entire United States for ABC News, CBS News, CNN, NBC News and Reuters, our distributing partner.
Election Recruiting Coordinators will support our elections operations and research teams for the 2024 General Election. Election Coordinators will recruit, train and manage a large staff of reporters and interviewers who will report on the vote results across the country on Election Night.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and manage Election Day workers
- Train reporters and interviewers
- Supervise and manage reporters and interviewers on Election Day
- Manage and assist operators in call centers on Election Day
- Assist in special election projects as needed
This is a Full Time Temporary position, starting on August 26th 2024 and ending on November 29th 2024. Salary is commensurate with experience, starting at an annualized rate of $45,000.
New Election Recruiting Coordinators will be expected to work in Somerville at least three days a week. Additional in-office days may be required during training. There may be some opportunity for travel in the weeks leading up to Election Day, but travel will not be required.

Qualifications
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines in a quick-paced, time sensitive environment
- Keen attention to detail and self-motivation a must
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Suite
- Flexibility to work evenings and some weekends leading up to Election Day
- Flexibility and stamina to work long days for Rehearsals and Election Day
- Associate degree preferred
